Answer from Master Keisen

My parents also died long time ago, I guess this is really part of our humanity to feel this way from time to time. Right inside this kind of loneliness we have to find compassion for ourselves. This will open ourselves to universal compassion for all the human beings who have to face their own lives.
What can really satisfy us ? We know it when we are satisfied, but if we search for it we do not find it. And the more we search for it the less we are approaching it, so it is better to let go this search and observe what we are living in the moment. Everything is in our own mind, if we know that then we can start changing our mind and look for what is making us happy right now. There is no use in our mind not to be satisfied, surely zazen practice is helping a lot. When we practice zazen, we are not anymore asking for anything else, we are just living right here in that instant. Finally with a continuous practice we get use not to look outside for something but to look inside ourselves, like someone who comes back in his own house and feel ok.

I practice the Way but I only very seldom make questions in a Mondo because I do not have a doubt about the direction of the practice and I see myself badly raising a stupid question just to have the illusion of the transitory pleasure that the Master is interested in the ignorant little worm I am. I do Zazen for Zazen itself and I love my ...

Master, The Buddha, the god, is without ‘noumène’ thus he has an infinite number of aspects, faces, forms. However the essence of the aspect is beyond the aspect or beyond the not aspect, ‘beyond’ meaning containing immediately 2 aspects: aspect and non-aspect. Isn’it so that the buddha can be seen. So isn’t zazen beyond the aspect ...
