Hello everyone,

The Kosen Sangha has had to adapt to the situation which requires us to practice each of us alone at home, but also, for many of us, together during the Zazen organized on Zoom. The Zazen on Saturday morning at 12 noon thus links a large part of the Sangha to Master Kosen.

This bond is precious, thank you to all who have helped with this and who continue to do so.

After having to cancel the Easter Sesshin, we need to inform you that the Spring Sesshin can neither take place. We apologize for not being able to organize this Sesshin but we have no other choice.  The right conditions to organize a gathering of a hundred people are not met while health risks are still very present.

For the moment, the week of Samu, scheduled from May 25th to 31st, 2020 at the Temple, as well as the Sesshin of the Kesa, lead by the nun Françoise Kosen Laurent, from June 17th to 21st, 2020 are still going ahead, and we invite you to register. Richard Feret will be in charge of the Samu to repair the lower building. If you wish to participate in this Samu week, you can contact Ingrid Igelnick directly at the Temple.

Depending on the situation, we will notify you a week in advance if we should cancel any of these events.

Happy to be practicing together again soon in the Temple and in the dojos,

 Christophe Ryurin Desmur

“The path is round, perfect like the vast world without any notion of lack or excess.  In truth, it is because we want to choose or reject, that we are not free ”.
