Question
Here is a problem I cannot solve. When I
concentrate for a good while, during my work for example, I am
fully present, but I have an unfortunate tendency to take off as soon as I
stop and relax, as though there is something in my brain
I cannot control. The fact is that I smoked a lot of joints
every day for about ten years. I gradually quit three years ago
and I am free of it. In fact, I would have to work
all the time to stay focused, but that is impossible. I tried
seeing a shrink; it did not help. Do you have a physiological or
other explanation for this “unwanted liftoff”?

There is nothing wrong with taking off outside working hours, especially if it happens naturally.
