Question
There is a question that keeps nagging at me: love… There is said to be
a vision of love that means loving the other person, being with
them as they are, and living with them as they are, not as
we would like them to be… Why does this kind of love seem so rare among
couples? Many philosophers, from Plato to Nietzsche, show an almost pessimistic
realism in observing that love is very often a disguised way
of possessing the other person, of capturing them for oneself… So does love
in its noblest sense really exist, or is it only a
fantasy?…

Answer from Master Kosen
We must love ourselves as universal beings.
Then we naturally love others in the right way.
