Question
Sometimes I feel extremely nervous in an unexpected situation. Today, for example, I almost locked myself in the bathroom and felt anxious and nervous.
Can Zen help me in these situations? How can I combat these moments, and what should I do to keep this from happening?

Answer from Master Kosen
You should not fight this nervousness but accept it, accept it entirely by embodying and experiencing it without reservation, and move beyond your fear of it. Let it fill you, and observe the phenomenon within you as if you were simply a witness.
