Question

I have practiced karate-do since I was seven, and I am now twenty-two. At the beginning and end of each training session, we practice traditional budo meditation (mokuso) in seiza (kneeling). While meditating at home, my heart began beating very strongly, and the pulsations reverberated in my belly, with very strong abdominal breathing. The physical sensation was identical to what I feel at the end of a kata (the zanshin or mushin posture and mental attitude), but this time without physical exertion. I stood up to calm myself through breathing.

I don’t know whether this is awakening. What should I do when or if it happens again during meditation? Stop immediately, or continue without moving even if I feel dizzy?

Thank you in advance for your answer, and have a good evening.

Thank you for your website.

Jérémie.
