Question
I practiced zazen with you and the sangha during an introductory day at the Montpellier dojo a year and a half ago, and it made a deep impression on me. Actually, you were the one who made an impression… Ever since, when I practice at home every morning, I always imagine (without consciously willing it) your voice, which inspired me so much that day, your presence, and immediately I concentrate naturally, always in a beautiful, dignified, strong posture full of love. I swear, I spent only one day by your side, and its influence endures and could last my whole life. I feel it; I am certain of it; I know it. I am twenty-four, and I want to discover something new, jump in and move forward, and leave my family behind for a while too. I have been thinking about moving for some time to break my habits… So do you think it would be a good idea for me to move to Montpellier, build new connections, and above all become one of your disciples? I am convinced it would, because I am looking for a master, and I found you that day. I don’t see why I should keep looking when it seems so obvious to me… I am looking for a master to awaken and realize the Buddha, the God, the Human Being I am and too often fail to recognize. May I join you?
