Can we see meditation as placing ourselves in a situation?

Question

Can we see meditation as placing ourselves in a particular situation, in the sense that there is nothing to obtain, nothing to conquer, nothing to hope for…
And that this situation reveals us to ourselves…
We can be in duality, carried by the inertia of mental agitation and emotions…
But we can also be in harmony with this situation,
In a spacious calm… reflecting a situation that demands nothing of us…

Best regards,

Answer from Master Kosen

In zazen there is everything to obtain, everything to conquer, everything to hope for, and zazen demands everything of us.
