Can a female Zen master or Zen nun have a partner, or even a husband?
What vows (celibacy? Abstaining from meat? Charity?) do Zen masters and monks take?
Are they the same vows as in Mahayana Buddhism?
Sorry, that is several questions, but I want to better understand Master Deshimaru’s Zen doctrine. I do not want to seem ignorant, but some articles say Zen monks can marry, while others say they cannot…
