Your site remains a breath of fresh air for me

Question

Dear Master Kosen,

Sunday, October 29, 2006. With limited knowledge of Zen and
mediocre meditation practice, I still feel an affinity with the
simplicity of this seated meditation called zazen, the most beautiful
of churches. I wanted to practice in a group, but as a French person living in
Taiwan, this country’s moralizing teachings do not appeal to me. So I
prefer meditating at home. Your site remains a breath of fresh
air for me. In my view, its information is an antidote to
Zen dogma and an invitation simply to practice. That said, I think
simply practicing alone without clinging to any particular teaching
is enough to preserve one’s freedom. In any case, it is the only way
I have found to remain more or less compassionate toward myself and
others. What do you think?
