Question
I read, “You must integrate it one hundred percent.” I do not understand. I used to be very proud. I became aware of it, especially of the harm it did me, so I paid attention to it, and as a result I am much less proud, perhaps not at all.
In what way have I integrated it? Let us say that, as I sense it, the ego is the manifestation of a pattern of thoughts. To borrow from “Eckhart Tolle,” it would be complete identification with one’s mind. But then I thought one of the aims was precisely to detach from that identification.
So why the term integration?
Very sincerely, H.

Detaching from the ego still makes it exist in the form of detachment.
So you must integrate it. You were proud, you became aware of it, so you integrated it. You saw the consequences and you changed.
