This feeling of rage that drives me

Question

To feel strong inside and keep going, I need to argue, to yell, to tell myself that life is a struggle, that I have no right to let the difficulties I encounter at work and in daily life get me down, that there is too much suffering on earth and I have no right to indulge myself or lament my fate. For me, this is the only personal, inner way to summon the rage that gives me the strength to fight my mental toxins. Do you think this is a good way to avoid sinking into despair and depression?
Thank you, Master, for answering me. It is very important to me to have your perspective on this feeling of rage that drives me. You are my only contact on the path of Zen. Thank you again.

Master Kosen’s answer

Anger is energy, and we must practice ecology within our bodies too: stop the waste, goddammit. This energy belongs to you and must not be lost. Even if it seems negative, it really is not, if you use it as a creative force. Coexist with it, let your essence become integrated into it, and make this anger your own. Remain in the safety of your essence, and do not direct this anger toward something that seems separate from you.
