The Zen philosophy of nonaction

Question

I sometimes struggle to reconcile my union and political involvement (socialist, therefore agnostic) with the Zen philosophy of nonaction. However much I tell myself my commitment is altruistic and helps others, sometimes I have conflicts in my mind when I have to speak out forcefully or take antireligious positions. Can you help me?
Thank you.

Answer from Master Kosen

It is just as stupid to believe that Zen philosophy is nonaction as it is to let political dogmas block your creativity.
The world needs people who think for themselves while opening themselves fully to universality.
