Is reciting the Prajnaparamita mantra, GATE, GATE…, valid without a master’s specific transmission?
Also, is it possible to invoke several names of Buddha without risking distraction, or, as Hui Neng says, should we hold firmly to a single name that would in effect bring together all the names of the Buddhas?
