Question
Master: I am a bodhisattva who has been practicing zazen almost every day for years. I discovered Zen through a philosophy school that teaches spiritual universalism with a leaning toward Hinduism (Ganesha, Krishna, the Bhagavad Gita, etc.) and has its own female spiritual teacher. My question is whether it is acceptable to belong to both places. Both feel like a necessity to me: the dojo on the one hand, and this school on the other.

It is always better to concentrate on one thing, but if both help you, then over the years you will see which is closer to you.
