Question
I would like to become a Zen monk because I want to do zazen as often as possible, to save myself from the illusions that will lead to my downfall, and to save and help those I meet without attachment. Also because the desire for truth and faith in a better world are my primary concerns, far more than money, power, or women. In short, I sincerely aspire to God and spirituality.
Do you think these are good reasons to become a monk?
