Question
I am looking for the name given to the envelope that an important Zen Buddhist master always kept in his pocket to write down his reflections. He chose to write on envelopes because the paper was sturdy and the size easy to fold into quarters, so he could always carry it and never
miss writing down a question.
This master, whose name I no longer remember, lived in the 19th century and played a major role in Buddhism’s development in Japan.
I always have an envelope in my pocket and am waiting for your answer to write it down!
