Question

Hello, Master KOSEN,
Reading through the questions and answers, a question comes to mind: how could Master Deshimaru bring a kesa back from Japan if there is no kesa? Doesn’t everything arise from KU?
It seems to me that the reality is that the kesa was transmitted, since I now do ZAZEN and I have not been to Japan. The question that has concerned me for a long time is: what is my own nature? In what direction should I look to discover it and open that door? Introspection that is neither intellectual nor analytical, but in the realm of feeling, gives me a surprising answer involving balance, a middle ground, and consensus. I find that very hard to accept. Should I keep searching or accept this answer?

Answer from Master Kosen

Ku is not the negation of what is; rather, the true nature of what is is ku.
