Question
On Saturday, after zazen at the AZI dojo, I was driving
home peacefully when suddenly a young woman in her
car passed me at high speed on the right, pressuring me
to move out of the way. A little irritated, I expressed my
displeasure by honking a few times, to which she
responded by sticking her hand out the window and making some
obscene gestures… Furious, I chased her down the road to catch her at
a red light and give her a piece of my mind, using words that I will obviously avoid
repeating here because they were so outrageous. Do you think this is
worthy of a Zen practitioner?
Thank you for your answer, and I am happy to see you again this fall of 2006.
