Follow-up to "kusen during zazen"

Question

I would like to clarify my question about kusen during zazen. Of course my aim was not to disparage any particular godo.
In fact, I have just understood the difference between a sermon and a kusen (understood is a big word); I think I can distinguish them.
I realize my earlier question, “Should a GODO bring in certain experiences from his life and share them with us during zazen?” was premature, since I have practiced only a short time and lack the perspective to ask that kind of question or comment on the subject. The godo I mentioned is someone I respect.
It is true he annoyed me the other evening during zazen because he began speaking while the posture was hurting my legs. I actually understood that I had reacted selfishly, thinking only of myself and my miserable pain, while the other practitioners might have wanted to hear a kusen. Moreover, as I mentioned, his words made me forget “my pain.”
Sorry for my previous question, which was rather “presumptuous.” In the future I will be more careful with my questions.
