Question
I have a book by Thich Nhat Hanh, “Zen Keys,” in which he talks very little about zazen but much more about mindfulness of the present moment. Likewise, he talks about Zen and the West but does not mention Master Deshimaru, which surprises me a little.
I wanted to know whether the reason is still the old Rinzai/Soto dispute, and whether the difference between these two schools is indeed the predominant role given to zazen in Soto Zen.
Also, do you know Thich Nhat Hanh? Have you met him?
Thank you for your answer.
