Question
Hello, venerable sir. I am Lulue, and I have been interested in Zen since
reading “Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind.” I visited the website of the dojo in
the city I will be moving to, and a friend said to me:
“Deshimaru used Zen to do business.”
Well, then?
Has anyone ever brought up this sort of thing with you? In your opinion, what are these
criticisms based on?
And while we are at it, what do you think of Arnaud Desjardins’s work?
Lucie
Answer from Master Kosen
Whether being impulsive is good or bad, one cannot say, but when you shoot before knowing what you want to aim at, you are simply an idiot.
