Question
You know, I often end up wondering whether I can ask a wise person an intelligent question. I truly did not mean to attack you, sincerely. I cannot remember who said that the one who attacks does not know whether they are wounded. In truth, when I think of people who have reached a high spiritual level, I feel something has been stolen from me.
Why should some be better connected than I am to what makes me be and become? I, whose artistic talent has been praised so often—why and how can I be so far from the simple, essential happiness of prayer or meditation? I am a difficult case, you are right, but I am working on it. And I know spiritual paths are very hard to discern and that there is much abuse.
I feel I need a master but do not know how to choose one. I was truly disappointed
to hear what my friend had said, and I am sorry for being stupid.
Lucie
Master Kosen’s answer
Even though I did not let Lucie have her way, she gave off a fragrance of spring that was hard to make out at the end of February.
Her eyes, easier to circle with shadows after three nights of excess than certain level paths that nevertheless go around in circles, often say more than many questions you receive answers to.
