Question
My child is being psychologically abused, and there is nothing more I can do. This has been going on for years. I wonder what “mental” posture I should work on to give all this as little hold over me as possible.
I also have two questions: can a young child frequently exposed to irrational behavior recover later? And will my body withstand this stress (there are twelve years left)?
Thank you for your answer, which I hope will be as perceptive as all those I have read.
(Just spare me a scolding; I have no room for that right now. Thank you.)
Best regards,
Marie

Find a calm, gentle man who can fill this role and love you as you deserve.
Do not doubt that this potential for simple, normal happiness exists within you. That is exactly the posture I want you to take.
