Question
Many questions concern love, but ultimately the master’s answers
are only there to make us aware of our own
answers, which are already present. As for love, I once experienced a moment of inner peace, of conscious silence filled with a joy that depended on nothing. What I understood then was that most often, all we know of love are its shadows or reflections. It seemed to me that what we unconsciously seek through our noble or vulgar experiences is this joy and love within us, which makes us free because it depends on nothing. Although I too am caught in the nets of illusion, I retain the memory and flavor of this experience, which seemed beyond doubt. In that moment, I had rediscovered paradise lost. Is it a mistake to believe that, at that moment, I tasted a small part of what we call satori? And for someone in whom this experience continues, doesn’t life take on an increasingly incredible, magical dimension? It seems to me that sustaining “That” requires incredible energy, which presumably flows through us. It is a little like a spinning top that appears motionless and cannot be shaken because it is actually spinning very fast. Is it something like that?
