What makes you believe you are a master?

Question

What makes you—not others, I mean you, deep
inside—believe that you are a master?

Because shiho is a certificate, isn’t it, a kind of diploma?
And even if it is quite a recognition given the sacred lineage of
the person who gave it to you and Master Deshimaru’s sacred lineage, we cannot
base everything on that alone. Thank you in advance.

Answer from Master Kosen

Within me there is the master. He is the master; he is my master.
He is my true self. I love him, and he loves me, because I am him; I am his experience. That is why he has compassion for me and for what I believe are my limits. He teaches me that I am him, that suffering is a dream without substance, that I can save my world through loving thought and forgiveness, and that this world is his garden, which it is up to me alone to make real.
I think I will not succeed, so he keeps teaching me.
And I pass on everything he explains to those who are here, hiding nothing.
