What is the difference between mushin and hishiryo?

Answer from Master Kosen

Mushin means unconsciously; hishiryo is absolute thought. During zazen, sometimes we think and sometimes we don’t, but the way of thinking and not thinking differs from ordinary thinking and nonthinking. So we call them mushin or hishiryo in Japanese; that makes it easier not to understand.
