What does freedom mean to a master?

Question

At sixteen I decided to become a monk or a paratrooper. After serving as a peacekeeper and commando, the time has come to become a monk. One thought that came to me one day was: Being free is the essence of life, art, and culture. And something I read revealed to me that the most important thing is the inner life. So my question is: What does freedom mean to a master like you? Thank you. Silence, listening, knowledge, and perhaps wisdom.

Answer from Master Kosen

Freedom means returning to the eye of the storm, where everything is calm and silent and we are at the center of all things.
