Vicious cycle

Master Kosen – Published on September 30 – suffering

Question

Ever since my mother died in 2001, I have been going through a deep inner crisis about who I am. All of this keeps me in a state of great anguish and confusion about everything. I am often afraid that I am doing things wrong and will end up making my life something dark. I cannot feel sure of anything I do, and of course this gives me a bad relationship with things, whether with other people or in my individual activities. Sometimes I feel I am at a dead end.

I go to the dojo, to zazen, and each time I feel it is my path and does me a lot of good. But when I return to daily life, I struggle to keep up my energy and get out of this tunnel of suffering, this vicious cycle that comes from within me.

Master, thank you for being there.
