Question
I have a question: the Buddha spoke openly of reincarnation. Why, then, does Zen, which arose from Buddhism, not believe in it, when its leader spoke of it?

The Buddha says: reality lies in inner realization, far beyond subject and object. This I teach to bodhisattvas, and I reserve other teachings for the ignorant.
