Question
Hello Kosen, I am a little lost when it comes to attachment and romantic relationships. What would a relationship without attachment be like? Is it possible to love someone without attachment, yet fail at this now and then and still keep that love pure?
Thank you very much in advance. I would also appreciate it if you could suggest a book to read about this.
Thank you very much in advance. Greetings from Madrid.

Answer from Master Kosen
Hello Cielo.
Thank you for your question, which is timeless… Love without attachment exists if your love for your partner is part of your universal love for all beings. But if there is contact, if there is desire, there is its whole train of possessiveness, jealousy, rivalry, greed, and fear of loss—in other words, separation and suffering. So what should we do? I think that when we are in the world of desire, we should live desire, and when we are in the world of practice, live detachment, and allow the two to coexist for a while. In any case, purity of heart exists when you have a universal vision of love.
Cordially,
Kosen
