I want to know what I am here for in this life. How can I become aware of my dharma?

Hello:
You have a very simple question. Buddha said it is like a man wounded by an arrow who, instead of seeking treatment, asks his doctor: “I want to know where this arrow came from, who the soldier was who shot it, what his name is, what family he comes from, and so on…???” It is all very well to ask yourself this question, but what you become aware of is the ignorance in which we live. And if you become aware of that state of ignorance, you are already on the path to awakening to True Freedom. So continue zazen, continue the balanced state of zazen in your life, let go of ‘what am I here for,’ and discover ‘this life.‘
