Have you reached a point where you are calm in every situation?

Question

After so many years of practicing zazen, do you still sometimes feel
the stress life imposes on us? Anger, or
fatigue? Have you reached a point where you are calm in
every situation? Do you have to return to the posture to regain
a state of “perfect Zen serenity”? What advice do you have for moving
through every situation peacefully, without absorbing negative energy? Or how
can we withstand the aggression of the world around us? Personally, when I
practice zazen I feel really good, and likewise when I read the masters’
books at home, etc… but when I look at the Parisian world
I live in, I often feel under attack…

Warm regards,

Philippe

Master Kosen’s answer

We must leave behind a world in the grip of emotion and discover a world illuminated by knowledge. It is a choice we must make in order to grow; everything comes from our own choice.
