Generalized anxiety

Question

For a few months I have had generalized anxiety and am not coping very well. I ask myself many questions and cannot discover where my anxiety comes from. My doctor is not worried but prescribed half a Deroxat tablet daily. I have been taking it for over a
month now. My anxiety is less intense, but I still cannot shake it. I feel I am going crazy, though I know I am not. Not being in control of what is happening makes me anxious. It is a bit of a vicious circle: I am anxious about being anxious. I can describe very well how I feel but cannot explain it… I am afraid of losing my footing, of not getting through this. Can you tell me what you think? Thank you.

First reduce it by a quarter for a week, then stop, and take a quarter when you feel anxious.
A doctor can give you guidance but cannot choose for you; everyone is different. You must make an effort yourself, but these medicines can be a great help provided you control them and consistently take the minimum.
