Kan ji zai bo satsu. Gyo jin han… Why chant this? What does it mean? Why do I feel as though I am in Japan at the dojo? I am not Japanese. I speak Japanese better than Breton! Zazen is very good.

The Hannya Shingyo is not Japanese; it is a language belonging only to the world of Zen.
