Question

Master… with the greatest respect… I have a question going around in my head that I still cannot answer. Tell me, doesn’t the fact that you are alive mean you have not achieved liberation? I mean, does having reincarnated in this life imply that you did not do enough in the previous one to become enlightened? How does it work? Does my question make sense?

Thank you very much.

Sergio

Master Kosen’s answer

Incarnating in this life does indeed mean we did not do enough in the previous life; otherwise it would be called resurrection.

For my part, I think this must be realized while we are alive.
