Question

Barbara, do you think romantic love between two people is real?
In other words, can it be called sincere, or is it simply the product of attachment, selfishness, and sexual desire?

Lately I have been asking myself this often, and I increasingly tend to believe the latter. What do you think?

Sending you my warmest wishes.

Answer from Master Kosen

I think we should not question love too much. When you love, you love, and that is fine. When your eyes sometimes open and you see attachment and passion, you can decide to change your relationship, but love is necessary to life: individual love and universal love.
Truly, at the very moment of orgasm, there is no ego. In this way, too, one encounters the practice of the Way. Ideally, we can love our partner as we would love the universal.
