Yes, it is wonderful.
Desire is wonderful if you ride it and know how to let it go when it becomes harmful.
Letting go of the ego, finding the ego again: this is the whole alchemy of life for those who know zazen. It is the Great Work.
My master used to say: the more you let go of the ego, the more vast and universal it becomes.
