Conflicts between being a Zen monk and family life

Question

After several years of zazen practice, being ordained a monk, and holding a responsibility in the sangha, what should I do if I face a choice between following what I believe is right for following the Way and making decisions forced on me by family circumstances that make
practice extremely difficult and leave me feeling like a deserter?
