Question
Hello, Master Kosen.
I went to practice zazen at an AZI dojo... and I felt uncomfortable. Perhaps it is my fault? But I sensed a form of pressure in the dojo, intangible but very real, to participate in activities and retreats, buy books, etc.
This pressure, this compulsory process puts me off.
So much so that I no longer want to set foot in this dojo, even though I love practicing zazen.
Do you think it is good to keep practicing there even though I feel uncomfortable, while trying to put that feeling aside? Or should I go elsewhere? The problem is that I no longer know where to go... It is the only Zen dojo in my area...

Answer from Master Kosen
Go there without a critical attitude, simply to practice zazen.
