Question
Sensei,
I have practiced zazen for a few years. For various reasons, I have lived in different countries, and each time I look for a dojo. However, in the latest dojo, the fact that I don’t own a rakusu often comes up, as if having one were what mattered most. I try to be a bodhisattva every day of my life. I am actually sewing a rakusu, but it is to give away.
Are we truly bodhisattvas through the rakusu?
