The large dining hall

It is adjacent to the kitchen and can accommodate around 80 people.

The small dining hall

It is a smaller room, but very pleasant with a bay window. About twenty people can eat there. It opens onto a stone terrace where our pear tree grows.

The kitchen

The kitchen is equipped with a large oven, a sauté pan, a cooking pot, four burners, a deep fryer and a food warmer. The storerooms and vegetable preparation areas are equipped with a cold room and a chest freezer.

The dojo

The dojo is the room in which we practice seated meditation, zazen. The space is separated in two: an entrance and the dojo. The dojo has a surface area of approximately 100m2. It can be completely cleared.

The floor is untreated parquet and the dojo has large openings onto nature. It is heated in winter by central heating.

The two upper dormitories

These buildings are located near the dining hall and house dormitories separated into three adjoining rooms, as well as a small bedroom with a sink and electrical outlet. They can each accommodate up to 25 people in the dormitories and two in the small bedroom. They are each equipped with shared sanitary facilities and three reversible air conditioning heaters.

The lower dormitory

This building is set back a little, at the bottom of the temple. It houses four large dormitories with ten or eleven beds and three small bedrooms with a sink and electrical outlet. This building can accommodate up to 45 people. It is equipped with shared sanitary facilities and reversible air conditioning heating.

A large single room

This room has great comfort: a double bed and a single bed, a bathroom with shower and WC and quality electric heating.

The blue dormitory

It is located in the old building opposite the kitchen. It houses dormitories with high vaulted ceilings as well as two small bedrooms. As this dormitory has no heating, it is only available in summer unless specially requested.

Rules of life and insurance

Proof of civil liability insurance will be requested upon signing the rental contract for the members of your group.

The Zen practitioners present during your stay are there to help you enjoy your stay discreetly. You can participate in their morning practice if you wish, they will be happy to introduce you.

The surroundings

The surroundings of the temple are certainly a setting of quiet and invigorating nature. Two streams adjoin the temple gardens which are crossed with stone bridges, or the wooden one which has been named the bridge of Freedom.

It is not uncommon to come across mouflons, roe deer, even does, a pheasant or even a red squirrel.

It is a joy to relax in the sun and the fresh air of the mid-mountains of the Caroux and a wonder to discover the surroundings which are the heart of the preserved regional park of Haut-Languedoc.
