The closest town to the temple accessible by public transport is Lamalou-les-Bains.
From Montpellier: Lamalou is served by bus lines 682 and 685 of bus which can be taken at the Mosson
tram station. This station is served by tram number 3 (or 1, but longer), which can be taken at the Montpellier-Saint-Roch SNCF train station, direction Mosson
. Since the end of 2025, tram number 1 can also be taken from the other station: Montpellier Sud de France.
The most common stop in Lamalou is the casino.
From Béziers: there are also buses to Lamalou (line 655). It is also possible to go to Bédarieux by train. If no one can pick you up in Bédarieux, a bus connects the Bédarieux train station to Lamalou.

If you like walking, the bus from Montpellier can take you to Colombières-sur-Orb. From there you go up the Colombières gorges to the Col des Avels. It is a magnificent landscape, but not to be done in case of rain, as it is slippery and dangerous.
Carpooling
It is organized for each retreat. You have access to a dedicated platform if you register to offer or get into a vehicle.
By car
The temple is located before Douch, you go up there from the D908 road which follows the Orb valley and connects Saint-Pons to Bédarieux. There are several possible routes to go up. The safest route (in case of snow) goes up from Hérépian to Rosis via Saint-Gervais.
From Hérépian
Take the D13 towards Saint-Gervais-sur-Mare. Turn left towards l’Horte. At l’Horte, turn right onto the D22 towards Saint-Gervais, up to the Col de la Pierre Plantée, cross Rosis, then follow the direction of Douch. After the hamlet Le Cabaret
and after a small bridge, a sign on your right indicates Temple zen du Caroux
. Go down the dirt road to the temple.
For access security reasons, cars cannot be parked right at the entrance to the buildings. After unloading your luggage, you must go back up the dirt road and park your vehicle in the private parking lot provided for this purpose, located just thirty meters up towards the hamlet of Douch, on the left.
By taxi from Lamalou-les-Bains
