The samu
Like every year, the temple opens its doors before the start of the summer camp to welcome those who wish to offer their energy in service to the community, discover life in a Zen temple, or extend their summer camp period.
From July 1st to 13, we will joyfully welcome the super permanents as well as anyone wishing to participate in the preparation samu. It is a great opportunity to immerse oneself in temple life, contribute to the preparations in a spirit of presence, and share simple and profound moments.
After the camp, we will continue in the same spirit with the cleanup samu, which will be held from August 18 to 20 (see the dedicated page to register). These three days will be dedicated to tidying up, cleaning, and putting the place back in order after the summer excitement — always in a spirit of practice and conviviality.
Beginners are welcome! No prior experience is necessary: the only requirement is to come with a good mood and a desire to experience life in a Zen temple; experienced practitioners will be there to guide you. And good news: the stay is free for those under 25, a great opportunity to discover temple life and the spirit of Zen in a caring environment.
