Samu in France at the Yujo Nyusanji Zen temple – From Friday, March 27, 2026 to Wednesday, April 1st, 2026.

The samu

The monk Richard Kosen organizes maintenance and renovation work in the temple buildings for six consecutive days. It is like a sesshin (Zen retreat) with two zazens per day at 7 am and 7 pm.

The nuns and monks present share the direction of the zazens. Registration is limited to ten people per week. You can come for a few days or the entire week. Outdoor or indoor work depending on the weather. Good mood and positive energy are welcome.

The daily rate is fuse (“donation”).
Free for those under 25.

To participate in a retreat at the temple (even a samu), you must pay your membership fee to the ABZD association for the current year (if not already done). For this, please consult: Membership.
