Born in Argentina, the nun Sandra Joju Alvarez began practicing zazen at the Rosario dojo (1994). She immediately met Master Kosen, from whom she received Zen nun ordination (1998).
Already settled in Europe, she participated in the founding of the Barcelona Zen Dojo, she created the Olot zazen group and she opened a Zen dojo in Tortellà, a small town in Catalonia, surrounded by forests, where she currently lives and works as a cook for children in a school.
