Sen Ki Gruau

Senki Fred Gruau has been practicing zazen since 1988, and the Kosen Sangha Northern Hemisphere summer camp, as a permanent resident (one month during the summer) since 1989.

He was ordained a Zen monk in 1993 by Master Kosen. He has practiced in his dojo since 1996, in Amsterdam, then in Montpellier, until today.

By a stroke of luck, Paula, whom he would marry, also began to follow Master Kosen, in Amsterdam, January 1996. Between 1993 and 2001, Fred also participated in the Kosen Sangha summer camp – Southern Hemisphere –, at the Shobogenji temple.

In 2001, he obtained a position as a teacher-researcher in computer science at the university.

In 2002, birth of Ella, in 2007 birth of Eno, named so because it was a small miracle.

Responsible for the Kosen Sangha website, in conjunction with Henri Mouillefarine, from 1996 to 2007, Fred is also passionate about his computer science research project, on which he has been working since 1995.
