Master Jomon Julien

Françoise “Jomon” Julien is the head of the Zen Dojo of Dijon, which she founded in 1982. She began practicing in 1979 with Master Deshimaru, from whom she received bodhisattva ordination. After his death, she continued with his close disciple, Stéphane Thibaut, Master Kosen.

After several decades of dedicated practice, she received Dharma transmission (Shiho) from Master Kosen in 2015, alongside three other women.

She plays an active role in spreading Master Kosen’s teachings, notably through the transcription and publication of his teachings. As a member of the Council of Elders of the Kosen Sangha, she also participates in the organization and development of this sangha.
