Ingrid Igelnick met Zen and Master Deshimaru in 1978. She received nun ordination in 1984 from Master Kosen, from whom she received the transmission, the Shiho, in 2015.
In parallel, Ingrid trained in shiatsu (Zen massage) and created Soi-Zen, a workshop for making kimonos and kolomos.
She has practiced alongside her master since 1992 and assists him in his mission, leads sesshins for several years, and teaches kesa sewing.
