How can one get free from very (too) strong family ties?
It is very difficult for me to live for myself, as if I had to give to really exist.
For instance, I am particularily afraid that my parents would die, and this prevents me from going forward, from achieving what I really want to achieve in life.
I am more concerned with other's happiness than with mine, in fact. . . but this is not sound, for I do not take care enough of myself.
How can I address this and live my life?
Answer from Master Kosen
Living for others is really living one's own life, and all of a sudden, one day, you see yourself as being part of others, so why not love and take care of oneself as one would of others? It's wonderful how free you feel when you forget yourself totally.Kosen
